Welcome!
A very warm welcome to the Volun-tees programme – a great way to get involved in some amazing opportunities both within the University but predominately supporting some great voluntary and community organisations. We have listed lots of new opportunities below. Volunteering is a fantastic way to get involved in the local community whilst at the same time developing some amazing skills that employer look for in graduates. Whatever your reason for volunteering – to gain employability skills, meet new people or just give something back – we’ll have something for you.!
It’s really important to keep checking the Volun-tees system for new opportunities and also look out for emails about opportunities that we might send to you direct, as these might match you skills/interests specific to your profile.
Remember! Complete all the information for your profile! The more information you put on the easier it is just to send the most relevant information to you. Your profile can also be shared with future employer who will be keen to see your completed profile.

Family Action
Volunteer Driver

Family Time Supervised Contact Volunteer
Family Time volunteers to support families accessing supervised contact in Stockton. Working in partnership with our staff team, volunteers would meet and greet families, ensuring a positive first impression and a smooth transition into Family Time.

Creative Support
Learning Disability Disco Volunteer
We are looking for Volunteers to help us at a weekly adult appropriate inclusive disco in Stockton held at The Oxbridge Social Club. We would like support with selling tickets on the door, running the tuck shop, selling raffle tickets, supporting with DJing and running of the discos.

TU Enterprise
Charity Arcade Project Volunteers
The project will require people with a range of skills. We will need students that are interested in physically building cabinets, programming Raspberry Pi units and Jamma Boards. Eco Shop Volunteer
Support the running of the shop. Preparing clothing for sale on the shop floor, this will include sorting donations and steaming to ensure they are presentable for sale.

The Access Project
Volunteer Academic Tutor
The Access Project supports students from disadvantaged backgrounds to access top universities. We are looking for volunteers to tutor a young person aged 14-18, online, one hour a week in term-time to support them with their academic studies.

How to apply
Remember to carefully consider the opportunity before applying. Make sure you are able to commit to the role description, complete any relevant questions or application forms that are attached and don’t apply unless you are fully committed! This is to ensure that organisations do not get disappointed with applications that don’t progress and focus on providing support to ones that are able to commit. Volunteering hours
Please remember once you start volunteering to record your hours on Volun-tees. These will give evidence of your experience and also count towards the University volunteering awards. We hope to hold our annual Volunteering Awards Event – Volun-cheers – in May 2023.
